Hello and Welcome to Really Unique Marketing;

My name is Don Jeffre and the main purpose of this site is to explore some of the ways to gather sales leads for an online business, any business, especially yours. In its simplest form, the process of building a team of people to work with can be described as a two-step process.

Step # 1: Filtered Leads Generation

I call this step filtered leads generation. It is necessary to initially recruit a larger number of leads than your business needs and then filter your list into a smaller more manageable list of cream-of-the-crop finalists. Anyone that works online should appreciate that not every lead will have the interest and determination to succeed in business. Many will be merely window shoppers who are just passing through one business and then the next, looking for that all-elusive perfect business that produces overnight riches with virtually no work required. Good luck!

Step # 2: Relationship Building

Remember, we began with a larger group of prospects and whittled it down to a smaller more manageable list. If you start pitching a business to these prospects at this point, you probably lose many of them after a short time. It is desirable to build a relationship of trust by getting to know the prospect and letting them get to know you. How do you do that? It all starts with a simple phone call. This is not a telemarketer type call, it is merely a get acquainted call. Introduce yourself,  ask them a question or two about their business and then let them tell you their goals and how they are pursuing them. Listen carefully and take notes. Use subsequent contacts to follow up on points from the initial call.

Imagine yourself needing to borrow some money, say $100.00. You have two prospective sources. A person you just met and a lifelong friend. Who do you think is more likely to give you a loan, and why? Lending money involves take a chance and the lender needs to trust that the borrower will repay the loan.  A business relationship is no different. Before a prospect is likely to join your business, they first have to trust you, and that means they must get to know you for a relationship to grow and develop.
